1. What's your name and where is home?

“Deyanira Contreras. Home is wherever my heart resides! Currently Des Moines, Iowa.”

2. What are you currently reading?

“A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara”

3. When you're not writing, what do you enjoy doing?

“I co-facilitate a weekly Biodanza class, which is a practice that combines music, movement and connection with others in a group setting, to help integrate emotions and recuperate the joy of being alive!

I love to draw, to take walks in nature, cook and eat!”

4. What is the name of your book and what was the motivation behind it?

“The name of my book is All Things Can Be True/Todo Puede Ser Cierto

The motivation behind it is perspective. This innate ability we all possess to see, feel, and act beyond our limitations. Despite the awkwardness and vulnerability that considering all possibilities may cause, there is no one way to do things and I've found that it is my daily endeavor to literally get over myself and take this perspective into consideration before passing judgment.”

5. Who inspires you the most and why?

“I am inspired by our hustle as human beings in living wholeheartedly!”
